About 1,000 NTT employees take an average of three business trips annually between the 14 countries across APAC where the company operates. Traditionally, travel management was done by individual departments, with lots of emails going back and forth. This practice was time-consuming and travel policies were not always enforced.
NTT, an existing Concur® Expense customer, decided to implement Concur® Travel as part of a broader business travel program, with FCM Travel Solutions (FCM) as the travel management company (TMC) for APAC to manage all travel bookings. The adoption of Concur Travel transformed travel management operations. Cost savings as a result of travel policy compliance were 10–15 percent after just one of its operations in APAC gained access to Concur Travel. What’s more, travel managers expect to save an additional 30 percent once airline selection follows preferred supplier guidelines. By deploying Concur Travel and Concur Expense, NTT anticipates estimated savings of US$2 million across APAC by 2021.
